Yellow Cross is a Canadian-based non-profit composed of medical professionals (epidemiologists, doctors, researchers, infection control, and prevention specialists) and business professionals (banking, marketing, sales, tech, education, and finance sectors). Our medical and research team has taken complicated infection control and prevention standards from labs and medical facilities globally and simplified these into an education and certification platform for the average employee. The mission is to create a more well informed, more hygienic, aware worker to minimize the risk when reopening businesses. To deliver our education and certification effectively and efficiently, Yellow Cross has partnered with the company Certified SAFE™ for the effective dissemination of Yellow Cross education, training, certification, signage, and products.
We have public sector education in the form of a free program to eliminate questions about how to act when entering businesses again. A more comprehensive, paid membership program covers how to provide a “safe work environment” from a COVID-19 perspective, as employers currently may not have a true means of giving their employees and supervisors real education regarding how they are going to safely open and operate again. This education will reduce company/corporate liability, increase staff compliance to best practice infection control and prevention standards, reduce the risk of a secondary spike once businesses reopen, increase business performance, and comply with established health recommendations. We also have standardized signage for all businesses, with recognizable branding and instructions to ensure customer compliance with these standards.
Our History
Founder James Burr noticed a great discrepancy in how businesses responded to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Seeing how long-time businesses closed their doors indefinitely and lock downs across the world increased, he sought to build a team and a solution.
In the past year and a half we have created our team with individuals committed to causing a shift with how society takes action during COVID-19.
